What is FarmBis
FarmBis is a partnership between the Western Australian and Australian Governments, supporting eligible participants to participate in learning activities focussed on improving business management skills.
Financial assistance is available by way of grants to assist farmers, fishers, land managers and macropod/wild game harvesters to undertake skill development activities which will improve their business management ability.
A FarmBis State Planning Group, comprising industry representatives from both the private and government sectors, advises the Minister on the strategic direction of the program.
The main learning areas for which producers can access FarmBis include:
- People Management
- Financial Management
- General Business Management
- Marketing
- Production Management
- Natural Resource Management/Biodiversity

IMPORTANT …
FarmBis administration in Western Australia finishes on 30 June 2008.
Under the current arrangements, for training completed before June 2008, to ensure that reimbursement grants are paid, you will need to submit your paperwork within 30 days of the training being completed AND before 30 June 2008.
